Abilitywise, this bloke is a great signing. All round attacker; striker, or winger, or creative behind the striker/s. Can do it all.
Age not such a worry as it's just a loan.
If he stays fit, this is pretty good news.

Scored the winning goal for Juventus against Lazio in this years Coppa Italia Final
Will he be the only player at the club that has actually won a trophy of any sort?
I don't count the playoff final as a trophy

I think you're right, we need wide players desperately, so to go and spend £15m on a striker when we have 4 already was always going to be unlikely.

No idea about him other than seeing him linked with big moves to England years ago.
Hate this short term stuff but won't moan if he does the business.
No doubt we'll be looking for another attacker in January.

Alessandro Matri– Matri is no longer a Juventus player but he did contribute in the black and white shirt. He joined Juventus from Cagliari for €15.5 million in the winter of 2011 and had his best season immediately after moving to Juve, scoring 9 goals in half a season. He finished his Juventus career with a total of 29 goals in two and a half seasons with the club. It is important to recognize that at the time when he joined Juventus, the team was in disarray and many players such as Antonio DI Natale refused to sign with Juve. Matri played an important role in the team’s turnaround from being a mid-table team into a top club.
